Kurt Johnson has over 35 years of professional photography experience. His affinity for photography came at an early age when his father, an avid amateur photography enthusiast and an architect, gave him an old Kodak Brownie camera. Since then, Kurt’s eye has not strayed far from a viewfinder.
Beginning his photography career as a photojournalist, he later moved into architectural photography, working for some of the nation’s largest architectural and engineering firms, as well as shooting large residential spaces for print publications. Kurt’s work has been published in several national magazines, including Architectural Digest. Kurt’s work has also been published internationally and he is an AIAP certified architectural photographer.
His extensive travels throughout the United States and abroad have provided the opportunity to photograph beautiful natural healing landscapes and botanical images. These natural images, and his innate understanding of the benefits of Biophilic design, ultimately led to his nature photography being featured in healthcare facilities throughout the country, including the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has be recognized with numerous national awards for his work.
Now represented by Koroseal Interior Products, a leading provider of contract wallcoverings and other innovative interior finish products, Kurt offers his beautiful photography on a wider array of substrates than ever before.
